Hoodsport Winery is a small award winning winery located on the rural Olympic Peninsula. From the winery, you have a majestic view of the Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains, just as the label depicts. A pioneer in the Washington State wine industry, Hoodsport Winery originated in 1978 (Established by the Patterson family), when there were only sixteen wineries. Washington now has over five-hundred wineries.

   

Hoodsport produces limited bottlings of award winning Washington State wines. This includes traditional vinifera varietals such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Madeleine Angevine. Hoodsport features smaller productions of unique varieties like, Island Belle/Merlot and Lemberger/Cabernet. In addition, Hoodsport makes Raspberry, Rhubarb and Loganberry wines.

Hoodsport's fruit and varietal grape wines have won top awards in international competitions. Hoodsport also makes Cordial Style Wines. Bella Cranberry, Stella Raspberry and Loganberry Dream. These aromatic wines are full bodied with an intense fresh fruit taste.

"Connecting Whales And People In The Pacific Northwest” - Orca Network

On Tuesday November 15, 2005, the federal government listed Puget Sound's Orca whales as an endangered species. Hoodsport Winery has teamed up with the Orca Network to further promote awareness of the Puget Sound Orca Whale population and educate the community on what can be done to help.

Orca Network is dedicated to raising awareness about the whales of the Pacific Northwest, and the importance of providing them healthy and safe habitats. A community is emerging that is increasingly attuned to the Orca population, that cares about and tries to understand the needs of the resident and transient orcas that inhabit the Salish Sea. Projects include the Whale Sighting Network, Education Programs and the "Free Lolita" campaign. Orca Network is based in Greenbank, Washington.
